The ideal candidate thrives on the factory floor, understands the nuances of SMT production, and is equally comfortable diving into data to identify efficiency gaps. You will play a pivotal role in integrating AI and Robotic Automation into our production lines to ensure Foreseeson remains a leader in operational excellence.

Expected pay for this position is between CA$75,000.00 - CA$95,000 per year

Core Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Production Excellence: Establish and maintain best practices for SMT production, soldering operations, and general assembly processes.
- Process Optimization: Drive production flow improvements and ensure all equipment maintenance is executed with precision and timeliness.
- Operational Analysis: Perform rigorous efficiency studies, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), time-motion studies, and the monitoring of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) trends.
- Statistical Control: Apply statistical methods to monitor process stability, focusing on Cp and Cpk metrics to ensure manufacturing consistency.
- Advanced Problem Solving: Lead in-depth root cause analysis for quality issues using Design-of-Experiment (DOE) and Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagrams, collaborating closely with Quality and Process Engineering.
- Automation & Robotics: Lead the exploration and testing of emerging robotic technologies, including Collaborative Robots (Cobots) and Humanoid Robots, to enhance production capabilities.
- AI Integration: Design and implement processes to onboard new AI-driven technologies into the manufacturing environment.
Technical & Analytical Requirements
- KPI Management: Develop and maintain critical operational metrics to support manufacturing, planning, and quality functions.
- Data Visualization: Create and manage real-time visual dashboards using Power BI and Excel to provide instant insight into production performance.
- Strategic Reporting: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify requirements and develop scalable reporting frameworks that support company growth.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide analytical support for CI initiatives to prioritize optimization opportunities for both cost reduction and quality enhancement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Proven track record in a high-tech manufacturing environment (SMT experience strongly preferred).
- Methodology: Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and a deep commitment to the Lean Six Sigma philosophy.
- Tech-Savvy: A high degree of curiosity regarding AI and robotics, with the ability to bridge the gap between hardware and software.
- Communication: Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Ethics: A "quality-first" mindset and a strong work ethic that values people and process equally.
